Places to visit by boat on Lake Garda

Desenzano

Prosperity is displayed in the elegant shops, the extensive yachting harbour and the sauntering mile along the "Lungolago".
Moorings for customers are free and are located at the entrance of the harbour on the side of the lighthouse.
Warning: this harbour is very busy, so you must pay particular attention to the mooring and to the fenders placement.

Gardone Riviera

Internationally known as "the city of gardens", it is well-known for the Vittoriale estate, which was created by the poet Gabriele d'Annunzio.
Free moorings are located on a wooden pier near the entrance to the tiny harbour at the southern bound of the town center.

Gargnano

It has a small idyllic harbor, a pretty promenade and it is surrounded by magnificent villas, palaces and parks.

Isola di San Biagio

Also known as Isola dei Conigli, it belongs to the municipal territory of Manerba del Garda and at certain periods it can be reached even on foot leaving from Porto Torchio, along a narrow strip of land.
It is not possible to navigate or moor inside the yellow buoys that surround the island, however near the wooden pier there's an area where you can moor with the anchor.
Warning: The island is surrounded by shoals and it is strictly forbidden to pass between the island and the camping place, due to shallow waters. There are other shoals in the north and they are marked by pylons.

Limone sul Garda

Its typical landmark are the groves of citrus trees on terraces overlooking the Lake.
The mooring buoys are in the northern part of the village harbour and they are free.
Warning: The buoys are exposed to the winds coming from the north, so you have to moor with particular attention.

Salò

Behind the very long, magnificent waterfront promenade the old town extends with a narrow pedestrian area and many small boutiques of famous Italian designers.
The mooring buoys are free and they are located in front of two large pine trees situated on the lakefront.
Warning: always use the buoys to make the mooring safer.

Sirmione

One of the best known resorts on the Lake, dominated by the Rocca Scaligera castle.
The free mooring buoys are only 4 and they are located near the bar "Barracuda".


Punta Vo

Hill with a beautiful view: reeds and small coves, ideal for sunbathing.
The long beach of Lido di Lonato is always very busy and offers calm waters.
The “Coco Beach” beach club offers tender service (tip is advisable).
Warning: Towards Desenzano it is highly recommended to sail with a distance of at least 500 meters from the coast due to unmarked and very dangerous shoals.

Isola Del Garda

The largest island of the lake, property of the Cavazza family. Part of the villa and the botanical gardens are open to the public.
The image shows the areas where it is more pleasant to moor with the anchor you have on board.
The small bay in the south part of the island always offers calm waters even on the windiest days.
Warning: near Isola del Garda there are numerous shoals marked by pylons.

Bardolino

Plenty of opportunities to sample the famous red wine and the excellent olives in one of the local wine-cellars.
Visitors moorings are located in the southern part of the harbour (on the right side arriving from the lake). These moorings have to be paid at the parking meter located in the offing.
Warning: it is recommended to enter and exit the harbour not too close to the coast as the water becomes more and more shallow.

Garda

Picturesque town centre, romantic squares and beautiful Venetian villas.
Moorings by payment are located on a wooden pier near the entrance to the main harbour. It is possible to pay the mooring with the parking meter near the pier. It is possible to pay the mooring with the parking meter near the pier.
Warning: the pier is located near the ferry dock, that causes prominent waves. Pay particular attention to the mooring and to the fenders placement, in order to avoid damages to the boat.

Lazise

Old fishing boats can be admired alongside modern yachts in the small harbour right in the middle of town.
Moorings by payment are located on the concrete pier of the new harbour, in the north of the town centre.

Malcesine

A picturesque resort at the foot of Monte Baldo, dominated by a mighty Scaliger castle.
Moorings by payment are located at the entrance of the harbour on the right pier. It is possible to pay the mooring with the parking meter near the pier.
Warning: The few places available are small and not protected from waves. Moorings are recommended only for people who have experience.

Peschiera

Its special attraction is the old town centre, which is in the middle of an enormous fortress in the form of a five-sided star and completely surrounded by water.
It is possible to ask to the renters inside the harbour to temporarily moor by payment. They usually provide mooring assistance too.
Please note: in this harbour it is also possible to refuel.

Punta San Vigilio


In this small prominence there are a villa, a small church, a historic inn, a small port and the Baia delle Sirene Park.
The harbour is small and the water shallow. It is possible to moor with the anchor in the area in front of the harbour and the tender service of the inn will pick you up (Tip is advisable).
Warning: there are rocks and shallow waters in front of the harbour and in the eastern area of the buoys.

Torri del Benaco


The idyllic harbor with its many colorful fishing boats is dominated by the mighty Scaliger castle.
A new wooden pier has been settled in the north of the tiny harbour.
Warning: The pier is located in an area exposed to winds and waves.
Pay particular attention to the mooring and to the fenders placement, in order to avoid damages to the boat.
